Monadnock Mountain Hike and Camp

At the end of August I went on a short mountain climb and camping trip in Jaffrey, New Hampshire.
It was about a 3 hour climb; this photo was taken at the halfway point 🙂

The view from the top was worth it though:

We even found a US Geological Survey reference marker at the summit!
This is a big deal for a Canadian who has hiked all over ‘unmarked’ Canadian shield, but learned about the USGS in college class.

Finally, we hiked down and started a fire. Long live smores!
